Specific "tidbits" about this song you requested... On Saturday night, my dad Ken Wiesinger and I wrote the lyrics over the phone, and 3-4 hrs later I had the whole thing recorded and ready to go. I played all the instruments including drums, guitar, bass, slide guitar, and added percussion to fill it out a bit. I also layered all the vocals to get a wider sound. On Monday morning, I sent it to the local Pittsburgh station 102.5 WDVE through e-mail, and I got a call from my sister an hour later saying she heard it on the radio! I'm a huge Steelers fan!
