@will kennedy, Unfortunately, for legal purposes, I must keep the info under wraps for a while. It shall become known when the record comes out in the liner notes. Thanks! (a hint- it’s on a record you would NEVER expect it to come from).
@steve57, Yeah, I’m thinking about using excerpts from “Angular Clouds” to weave in and out between songs as a recurring theme. but maybe not! haha. Yeah, “Let Her In” is gonna make the cut, but I’m gonna tinker with the arrangement. Ok, have a great weekend.
@noslacklover Thanks for checking out the tunes! Glad you like that “Let Her In” song! It’s a dark and mysterious place indeed! I’m probably gonna include that tune. The other two… still a maybe-
@riffraf vash? yes. I’d say my “music’s audible roots” come from all over the place, and will take a little explaining. Your question inspires me to make a new post. I’ll write one today detailing the different phases of studying and listening to music in a roughly estimated timeline fashion.
Yeah- I see where your going with that idea of the true temperament de-fret, but it would only make the visual guide slightly more accurate (which don’t get me wrong, could be useful). But to me, it’s still an inner ear thing either way having to make constant minor adjustments to be in tune. Chords are really tricky to get perfectly in tune, but I see the slight out of tune notes as a charming quirk that comes with the territory. It almost sounds like a horn section at times because most notes will be in tune, then the occasional couple cents off make a very genuine manmade sound. Then other times it sounds plain awful! So, I will continue to work on this new beast of an instrument. I’m gonna post a tune where I played the melody with the fretless really soon. I hope you enjoy! It’s called “Try Again Now.”

Glad you liked the song. As far as the video being repetitive, I agree, but keep in mind, I merely had a few days to come up with a visual aid for the song to get it up in time for the Super Bowl. (The “Hit Song Potential” animation took several weeks to make). Cheers–
Hey, Thanks a lot! I can’t wait ’til the DVD comes out either! Well, keep on checking back here as I am continually adding different stuff to this site. Thanks again for commenting!
