Zack Wiesinger is an American born composer, musician, animator, and artist blending all his influences and life experiences into a style of his own. Although well-versed on several instruments, he’s becoming known for his guitar playing and song-writing skills. “For me, the artwork takes the longest when it comes to putting an album together,” said Wiesinger in a 2009 interview. With a catalogue of over 300 songs, he has been releasing his ‘experiments’ to the public one album at a time. His songs are available for purchase on iTunes and available to stream on LastFM. ”I get the best joy sitting (or standing) next to someone hearing one of my songs for the first time. I love seeing their reactions to what I make. That’s why I sometimes call my tunes ‘experiments.’”

In addition to releasing original albums, Wiesinger has also been successfully working on getting songs placed in film. Look for “Dance a Little Bit Closer” (written and recorded by Wiesinger) and “Zack’s Blues” (co-written and recorded by Wiesinger and Norman Nardini) in the new Blair Underwood movie starring Ving Rhames titled “The Bridge to Nowhere.”

Studio Cuts aside, Wiesinger’s live shows have gained critical acclaim with his winning the 2006 Albert King Award for “Most Promising Blues Guitarist” at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN, being one of four finalists in the 2007 National Guitar Center King of the Blues competition in Hollywood, CA, and  being asked personally by Steve Vai to go on tour with him in Europe and USA. “I believe there is a brilliance in him that is immeasurable,” Vai told the Pittsburgh Tribune Review in a front page article. Wiesinger is currently working on a new album to be released digitally on Vai’s record label Favored Nations.
